Ram ji’s daughter is in this village, villagers proudly narrate Shri Ram Katha – The Jharokha News

These days there is a lot of discussion about Lord Shri Ram and the places associated with him. One of these mythological sites associated with the Ramayana period is the place called ‘Zener’, which is said to be the neelhal of Lord Shri Ram.
The village of Janare, situated on Indo-Pak border in Tarn Taran district of Punjab, is believed by the locals that this is the ancient Kaushan country, which is mentioned in Shri Ramcharit Manas. However, historians do not accept this claim of the villagers as rational.

Mata Kaushalya used to worship in Shiv temple

The village Kasel is located at a distance of about 22 km from Amritsar. The oriental Shiva temple located here is the basis of the reasoning of the villagers. He says that the Kosala city mentioned in the Treta Yuga is the present day Kosala country. The villagers claim that Mata Kaushalya used to worship in this Shiva temple. The president of the temple committee says that this Shiva temple was built 2050 years ago by Maharaja Vikrama Ditya.

Maharaja Ranjit Singh donated land

According to public opinion, Maraja Ranjit Singh also offered prayers in this temple. The committee members, citing the documents, said that the land was donated to the charity and a jagir of Rs 1800 a year. There is an oriental pond located near the temple. It is said to have been carved by Vikramaditya.

Skill country in Ramayana

However, some historians consider the present Chhattisgarh as a skill country. According to him, Kaushalya was the princess of Chhattisgarh. Who was married to Maharaja Dasaratha, the King of Ayodhya. At the same time, in the Valmiki Ramayana, Kaushal Desh has been told near Ayodhya.
Kosalo name Mudit: Sphito Janpado Mahan.
Input: Sariyutire Prudential Dhanadhanyavan
That is, Kosala included the regions of Faizabad, Gonda and Bahraich in Uttar Pradesh.

Kaushalya was from South Kaushal

Historians believe that the country of Kosala or Kaushal was divided into North and South Kosala. Kaushalya was probably the princess of Dakshin Kosala (Raipur-Bilaspur district, Chhattisgarh). At the same time, Mahakavi Kalidas has called Ayodhya the capital of North Kosala in Raghuvansh.

Some people of Kassel say that history says anything but Kusel is the ancestral village of Mata Kaushalya. They rationalize the argument, saying that in the old times there may have been a natural disaster or a big epidemic due to Corona, due to which this city was devastated. And King Sukaushal, the king of Kassel and the father of Kaushalya, have gone elsewhere and have established another city by the same name. Which is being described in today’s Chhattisgarh and Uttar Pradesh.

Jenner and Kassel may be the subject of research

Historian Dr: Brahmanand Singh says that the faith does not need research and investigation. Faith is faith. This is certainly enough for history students to be a subject of research.
